Quoddy Spring Chukka’s

Spring is that transition season between tall boots and low shoes and the chukka is an ideal shoe for just such a transition. We recently received two new Quoddy chukka’s for men and ladies.

Quoddy Maine Woodsman

Our new Quoddy boots are just what you’ll need when winter points its icy finger your way. The Woodsman is fully lined to the toe in natural sheepskin. These are great to wear barefoot because they’re super soft and warm, like wearing a fur lined sleeping bag.

Made of Horween brown Chromexcel® leather with natural plantation crepe soles for lightness and flexibility the Woodsman is about two inches taller than the Grizzly boot. That means more fur and more warmth.

Available in U.S. whole sizes 8-13 you should size up to the next whole size because of the fur.

Maliseet British Tan

There’s a misconception out there that suggests moccasins, like Quoddy are summer shoes. I don’t see it that way at all; in fact I think they’re great all season casual shoes. I also think the new Maliseet in British Tan Chromexcel makes my point. The color is an autumnal rusty brown great with denim, khakis flannels and cords.

The fact that they’re completely handsewn and comfortable as hell is a bonus. It’s been feeling a little fall like which of course won’t last and either will these Maliseet’s.
