The new LAST Magazine Volume 13 is now available in the U.S at Kinokuniya bookstore in New York. The cover of the issue features a pair of Gaziano & Girling Cambridge in Vintage Oak or Espresso Calf on the MH71 last.
One interesting item are the shoelaces, which are normally round. These are flat which I’ve been told by other shoemakers is the preferred style of laces in Japan. I’ll have to ask Tony Gaziano about that when he is here on April 21st for our trunk show.
In case you are unfamiliar with Last it was published twice a year by Esquire Japan and released in the fall and spring. Sadly no more.
These Gaziano & Girling MTO’s were in and out of the store the very same day. Both pairs for one of our favorite clients, who now owns four G&G’s.
Given that he can have them made in his size, 9C has made him a true convert. I was quite happy to hear him say, “Since I’ve been wearing G&G my feet no longer bother me”. That’s a strong statement and a testament to the fit and support that’s truly unique to Gaziano & Girling shoes.
Not only do they look great, but they “feel” great as well, and that’s exactly what investing in quality footwear is all about.

Our clients came in yesterday to pick up their Gaziano & Girling MTO’s. I can’t describe how excited they were not only because the shoes looked fantastic but also because both men have shoe sizes that are not easily found.
The Wiltshire is a 9C and the Cambridge is an 8G. For them it is sheer bliss to now know that they can have any shoe any way they like it but most importantly “In their size”.
