New G&G Models

October 12th, 2009

I’m very excited about the new G&G models; these two are the first to arrive. All the MTO’s posted this week are from the first production we’ve received from their new factory. The workmanship, leather quality, and coloring are exceptional, shades of future past.

Pass the Scotch – Grain

October 11th, 2009

Just ahead of our G&G trunk show we received several new MTO shoes. These two struck me. They’re for two different clients but both were of the same mind. These two shoes are in Brown Highland Grain. I happen to be a big fan of Scotch Grains and think it’s an excellent choice for fall shoes.

Cannes KN14 (loafer) Last, Oak Bark Soles – MTO

Cannes - Leffot

They have another relation to each other besides the leather. The hand-sewn split toe Derby and Loafer makes for an interesting comparison, which is something you rarely see. Kind of like distant cousins.

The G&G Trunk Show & Bespoke Shoes

April 23rd, 2009

I would like to thank everyone that attended the Gaziano & Girling trunk show for making it a huge success. There were some great looking new RTW styles, which I’ve posted before.

I would also like to thank Tony & Dean for spending the day with us I truly do appreciate their time spent here.

Now for a treat for those that weren’t here I would like to offer a view of the Bespoke* styles that were simply beautiful.

*All bespoke shoes must be ordered directly through Gaziano & Girling

The G&G Trunk Show Is Under Way

April 21st, 2009

Tony Gaziano is here today and not only has he has brought samples of their RTW and bespoke shoes (always works of art) but he has also brought seven new MTO models with him.

They are from L to R: Nice, Chester, St James, Burlington, Westminster, Woburn, Kensington

Dean Girling will be joining us later this afternoon as he is arriving into New York today before starting his west coast trip.

I encourage you to stop by if you are in the NY area today the shoes look fantastic.

The Hove

April 20th, 2009

Our new Gaziano & Girling shoe is the Hove. This derby has a hand-sewn apron on a soft square toe box. It’s beautifully finished and can easily be worn as either a casual shoe or with a navy or gray suit.

The New Last

April 6th, 2009

The new LAST Magazine Volume 13 is now available in the U.S at Kinokuniya bookstore in New York. The cover of the issue features a pair of Gaziano & Girling Cambridge in Vintage Oak or Espresso Calf on the MH71 last.

One interesting item are the shoelaces, which are normally round. These are flat which I’ve been told by other shoemakers is the preferred style of laces in Japan. I’ll have to ask Tony Gaziano about that when he is here on April 21st for our trunk show.

In case you are unfamiliar with Last it was published twice a year by Esquire Japan and released in the fall and spring. Sadly no more.

G&G MTO

April 2nd, 2009

We received two G&G MTO’s that I would like to share with you:

The Corniche in Arran Grain on the MH71 Last

The Connaught in Black Calf on the DG70 Last

A reminder that Leffot will host a G&G trunk show with Tony Gaziano on April 21st. Hope to see you here.

Gaziano & Girling Spring 2009 Trunk Show

March 23rd, 2009

We are pleased to inform you that Tony Gaziano will be presenting the G&G made-to-order and bespoke collections at Leffot on April 21st from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Our past show with Dean Girling was quite a fun event for the true lover of fine footwear, and we anticipate this show to be equally as enjoyable.

The event is open to anyone, however we do ask that you please contact Leffot to schedule an appointment if you plan on attending. This will help us better serve you.

In case you haven’t been to a trunk show before it works like this. G&G will have “Sample” single shoes of which you can then choose the leather, color, last, soles and perhaps a few minor changes i.e. adding a medallion to a plain toe shoe for instance. Trunk shows provide an excellent opportunity to view many styles in hand as opposed to looking at them on line or in a catalog.

Once you decide on a particular pair a deposit is taken and the shoes go into production. The balance is paid when the shoes arrive. It’s very straightforward.

We have already begun to receive a great deal of interest in this show. You can contact me for an appointment at:

steven.taffel@leffot.com or by phone at 212-989-4577.

We hope to see you there.
