Boots were big last fall and all by all indication they’ll continue to be a strong footwear style this year. Of course there are all types of boots from rugged to refined. When it comes to the refined category Edward Green is the boot of choice around here bar none.
All the boots below were made to order with the exception of the Galway Dark Oak/ Walnut Country Calf, which we’ll be stocking again this fall. Delivery for EG MTO’s is currently the end of November. If you’re considering placing an order for a pair for fall now is the time.

When our friend Junji paid a visit from Tokyo recently I was struck at once by his shoes. I’ve been captivated by the Edward Green Wigmore for some time now. His pair were well worn and well loved.
The thing about shoes is that they look best worn in. The creases and scuffs are a testament to the fondness we have for them. As for the Wigmore I’m sure they’ll eventually find a spot on our table they’re one righteous pair of shoes. And as for Junji all I can say is, I like your style dude.

The Edward Green Asquith is one of those iconic EG styles. A classic English cap-toe if every there was one. I love the gimping and the 2:1 hole punches something about it just makes me sentimental.

Now hear this, early indicators point to a big season for suede. We’re feeling it and so are many of our clients. Recent MTO’s have been particularly suede heavy. It’s time to get over the whole “I’ll ruin those the first time I wear them” thing. Suede is a lot more durable than you think and gets better looking with wear.
It’s never too early to plan ahead, if you’ve been considering ordering a pair for fall now is the time to place your order.

We’re not smokers but that doesn’t mean we don’t like tobacco. Edward Green the maker of arguably the finest shoes in England does it again. The double monk strap Westminster (one of our very favorites) is now available in Tobacco suede, and we couldn’t be more pleased with them. These are absolutely gorgeous and fantastic for summer.
There’s a softness about suede that makes you want to pet it, and trust us many people do. But there is also a sophistication about it a richness, luxuriousness and refinement that bestows a distinguished air upon the wearer.
Double monks are such an excellent style because they’re so versatile, and timeless. Trust us it would be nearly impossible to go wrong in these.

“Whiskey shell cordovan”, the words alone instill powerful feelings in mere mortals. And for good reason, whiskey is one of the rarest cordovan colors. That’s because to tan the color Horween needs “clear” shells, which means no imperfections. By default that eliminates a good number of them.
Edward Green uses Genuine Horween Shell Cordovan because when you make quality shoes you must use quality leathers. They also handle it well and don’t over treat it with products. That allows the leather to develop a natural patina and highlights.
If you’ve never owned a pair in cordovan you can’t imagine what you’re missing, the same is true for a pair of Edward Green shoes….

Yes summer has just begun but now is the time to plan ahead. That is if you’re considering a special pair of boots for fall. This pair of Edward Green Shannon’s might fit the bill. Our customer who ordered these had the foresight to do it early. She’s also a lady who has exceptional taste. Enjoy them well Beth.

These are a couple of classic Edward Green wingtips, and you know how we like our wingtips. The Malvern is from the EG Heritage line with it’s traditional hand punching and gimping it is every bit the classic English shoe.
The Inverness on the other hand is an blind wingtip, that is the wingtip pattern is sewn onto the apron of the shoe, which gives it a lighter somewhat sleeker look. Both models are handsome, versatile, great fitting and now part of our stock line.

The Oundle is a somewhat quirky monk strap with its high buckle and full leather vamp; nonetheless it is a handsome and often sought after shoe. This pair in particular is fetching because it’s in shell cordovan or “Crup” as the say in Northampton. The simpler the style the better to appreciate the beauty of the leather, and yes E.G. uses Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan Crup.

“Top Drawer” the words themselves conjure an air of distinction; so it’s by no small accident that Edward Green Top Drawer shoes have finishings among the finest of their kind. The Top Drawer program is an excellent choice if you fit comfortably in an EG last and desire finer finishings without going full bespoke.
Most models can be crafted TD which features a tighter and pronounced beveled waist, spade soles and finely turned edges at the waist. Edward Green shoes are oh so sweet, which makes Top Drawer the icing on the cake.
