Quoddy Restock

Quoddy hand sews all their shoes and boots in Maine just as they have for the past 100 years. No cement or glue is ever used, each pair is leather lined from heel to toe, and have padded leather sock linings that gently cushion your feet.

These shoes are so much more than they appear to be. A simple boat shoe they are not. In fact they aren’t really boat shoes at all, they’re moccasins with rubber soles. These are finely crafted shoes built by highly skilled hand sewers that get better looking and feeling with wear. Just because they’re casual doesn’t mean they aren’t quality.

Very nice. Do you have any pictures of how chromexel looks when it ages?

No we do not have pictures of aged Chromexcel but having seen it I think it looks better with wear.

    Two questions:

    1) How much stretching occurs? Do I need to size down to accomodate stretching? If so, how much?

    2) If I wear them barefoot, do I need to size down, as well? If so, how much?

    Thanks, Steven.

I’m also interested in the answer to Terry’s question. Also, is the photo of the navy an accurate representation of the color? I have noticed a few other photos on the internet of the Navy Maliseet’s and the blue appears to be a lot darker. For instance, Blackbird has the same shoe with a black sole and they seem like entirely different shades of blue. Same thing for the photo from the Quoddy shop. Can you speak to the shade of the navy in person?

I suppose our picture is a little lighter due to the flash as far as I know Quoddy only uses one shade of navy chromexcel.

These shoes don;t stretch a whole lot but it also depends on your foot how you walk etc. A tighter shoe will stretch more. I don;t advise sizing down to allow for stretching.

Regarding sizing down to wear barefoot it really depends how you like your shoes to fit if you prefer snugger than perhaps you size down if not you most likely wouldn;t. If possible you should try a pair and see how you feel.

You wouldn’t happen to have an 8.5 in stock? What is charge including shipping to Delaware?
