We invite you to join us Saturday May 1st from 12 – 6 PM as California craftsman Basil Racuk presents his latest and greatest handcrafted bags and accessories. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet Basil and place your order for a custom made bag, wallet, or belt.
Basil will be presenting several new items at this show such as the Mini Voyager, the Miner Wallet and the Messenger to name a few. These pieces are made entirely by hand which means no two are exactly alike; they are wonderful examples of artesian craftsmanship meant to be worn and enjoyed for years.
Basil Racuk products are available in New York exclusively at Leffot.

Quoddy hand sews all their shoes and boots in Maine just as they have for the past 100 years. No cement or glue is ever used, each pair is leather lined from heel to toe, and have padded leather sock linings that gently cushion your feet.
These shoes are so much more than they appear to be. A simple boat shoe they are not. In fact they aren’t really boat shoes at all, they’re moccasins with rubber soles. These are finely crafted shoes built by highly skilled hand sewers that get better looking and feeling with wear. Just because they’re casual doesn’t mean they aren’t quality.
Maliseet Horween Chromexcel Navy with Red Camp Soles $250

We love doing something new, the adventure and anticipation of the road less traveled perhaps. These two Corthay MTO’s are both Leffot firsts, but likely not the last.

One of the great things about our visit to the Alden factory in March was seeing two of our makeup shoes in production. They’ve recently arrived just in time for spring and summer.

I’m sure a lot of you are saying WHITE SUEDE! I’ll trash these, good I think they should be worn in, I like to see some wear on these. Of course we want to make sure you’re able to maintain them in a reasonable way with the least amount of effort so we include a white Buck Bag with each pair. Buck bags are filled with crushed chalk so you simply tamp it over the shoes, it powders them white. We also have Nubuck Bars to erase scuffs from your suede and bucks.

We love it when we hear from clients; in this case our good client from Sweden Mr. V. sent us this note:
“A rather funny thing just happened; we were in Paris during Easter and went to a restaurant called Le Chateaubriand. Yesterday I read the web version of New York Times and found an article of small nice restaurants. There was also a slideshow and there were my shoes!! The photographer must have liked them as well!”
What’s not to like Mr. & Mrs. V. are an extremely stylish and charming couple.

Springtime calls for spring caps and we just received the first two models of the season from Borsalino. Duckbill’s fit trimmer on the head and look great to boot. Caps are a great accessory and a great way to change the look of an outfit. Time to get rid of the baseball caps fellas.

Thanks to everyone who came out and attended the Edward Green trunk show on Friday. It was a great event, which is not surprising when you offer great shoes. I would also like to thank our good friend Robert Godley from Edward Green who is extremely knowledgeable and always makes this show worthwhile and fun.
Without a doubt all of the shoes ordered will be beautiful in particular I’m excited to see these pairs.
