Well we didn’t win an Oscar for our Short Documentary “The Alden Tour” but we really enjoyed making it. It was Filmed over 5 hours on location at the Alden factory in Middleborough, MA this film documents the process of making a pair of Alden shoes from start to finish.
We wish to thank the members of the Academy and the hardworking men and women of the Alden Shoe Company for making this film possible.

Massachusetts factory – seems to imply Aerosmith or J. Geils Band for the soundtrack, no?
That was wonderful Steven. My two pair of Alden’s will now receive a little more loving care. Not that they’ve been abused. Let’s just say I’ll “Say A Little Prayer” while putting them on to the people that make these wonderful shoes. Interesting to see who was wearing gloves and who was not. And the people doing the hand stitching must have some serious callouses! Ouch!
Fantastic, thanks!

And of course the obvious choice Boston. I saw all these bands and loved them.
It was “More than a feeling”, when she told me to “Walk this way”. But what can I say I’m just a “Hard drivin’ man”.
Excellent film. Let the Alden people know that Alden just went to the top of my list for my next pair of shoes. One suggestion for these types of films—it should end with a nice view of the finished product!!!!
