In terms of a new name, since Corthay apparently has a pattern of naming wholecuts after demonic figures (see, e.g., Belphegor, demon of vanity), how about "Asmodeus," a demon associated with fine dress? It keeps the theme, but is a little less obvious, and I believe the name also works in French without alteration.

Another client said that due to the name "Satan" he wasn't comfortable with the shoe. Should we suggest a new name?

Steven,

It's a great shoe but, compared to Corthay's overall product line, it feels sedate.
