Perhaps it&#039;s silly to argue with success but have you tried it with brushes alone ?

Use a softer brush to remove dirt and then a firm brush to correct the texture of the suede

I believe this method is less likely to wash the natural oils etc out of the leathers

A little Kelly&#039;s Edge Dressing wouldn&#039;t hurt either

Regardless I think your boy&#039;s shoes look good

		<description>Nice work, Steven.  One variation on this is to deal with non water soluble dirt in the suede by giving the wet shoes a wipe-over with a sponge dipped into a solution of washing up liquid and water, follow by a rinse.
