Edward Green Sandringham – MTO

Sandringham is the much-loved country retreat of Her Majesty The Queen. It’s also a majestic EG shoe with plenty of rich brouging and punched thistle detail on the side. These two MTO’s are both great looking, and perfect for autumn wear.

    Steven,

That is a very interesting color of shell cordovan. Is the digital picture an accurate representation?

Most of the “brown” I have seen from non-Alden manufacturers such as Vass have been a deep, dark, brown almost equivalent to EG’s dark oak calf.

This looks like it has some warmer tones to it, almost like a burnished, darker revello.

    Please discuss!

I’m curious how “crup” is pronounced. Is it like: “The fox invaded the chicken crup.”. Or like: “Fill my coffee crup to the brim, please.”. Advice much appreciated…

    Mr Hythe,

I would say the color in the picture is a bit lighter due to the flash but not too much. These were not like cigar at all. These had definite highlights and heavy burnishing on the toes and heel quarters.

I was quite impressed. I would say the color was closer to Dark Oak than Ravello.
