    Hi guys

Hunting for just this – I am based in Brisbane, Australia. Would it be possible to send you a few pictures of the various pairs of shoes I have to confirm the most appropriate polish colours to include as part of the Voyage box?

    Regards,
    Brett

    Hi Guys,

I am very interested in ordering. I have a pair of Edward Green Warwick chukka’s in Dark Oak. Whats the corresponding Saphir color? And do you recommend using a blend of wax polish and creme? Or one over the other? Thanks!

  6. Posted 6 August 2009 at 3:59 pm | Permalink

    Hi Eric,

Dark oak should take dark brown #05 wax. No need to use both wax and cream IMHO, although some people use wax on the toes and cream on the rest.
I use the Rénovateur first to clean and condition then the wax. Please email me if you would like it order anything.

    Thanks you,
    Steven

    Steven,
I have tried numerous amounts of polish/conditioner combinations and the options are very overwhemling. I use Obanauf’s Leather Oil to condition my shoes, however it doesn’t lend to a good shine although they are supple… What is the difference between a neutral cream polish and a conditioner? Can a cream polish just be used in place of the conditioner? Thanks for the help.

Hi When do you expect to have the neutral color cremes in stock again? I have a series of shoes that I think a neutral creme would be best for. Thanks!

Quick question. I’ve got about 20 pair of shoes some leather some shell. What would be a good start in terms of their product? Creams? Paste neutral only??? Any help would be appreciated.

    James,

Renovateur is a must, it’s great on shell and calf. Wax on shell and either or on calf it’s whatever suits you. I use wax mostly some people use both. You should have black, an assortment of browns and a burgundy, neutral is optional. Give me a call if you’d like to discuss.

    Hi,

Saphir has a range of products in their Medaille d’Or line wich is intended for cordovan leathers. It is however not a wax but a cream (Cream Shoe Polish Cordovan Medaille d’Or).

What would be your opinion on this? Supposed to be specially made for cordovan leathers, but I understand that you guys recommend wax.

    Regards,
    Roland
