Horween = Genuine Shell Cordovan
When you talk about genuine shell cordovan in the USA you are talking about Horween Leather of Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1905 Horween is the last producer of genuine shell cordovan in North America.
Horween’s genuine shell cordovan is still tanned using a six-month-long process and formulas that date back to its founder, Isadore Horween, over 100 years ago.
If you’ve ever wondered why it is so desirable this video is a must see, it speaks for itself. This is an excellent behind the scenes look at the art of tanning Shell Cordovan.
*Leffot will be receiving the Alden Long Wing bluchers on the Barrie last in Ravello Cordovan in September. Ravello is one of the most beautiful and desirable colors in cordovan and very difficult to procure.
Advance orders are now being taken.

Great Video….only problem is that they went to an Allen Edmond Store. I wished they went to an Alden store and to the Alden Factory.
I was a Allen Edmond fan until they recently tried to be too trendy by offering pointy shoes and their rubber soles are no match to good double sole.
In contrast, Alden has great shoes that will survive the test of time and their shell collection is unbeatable.
Thank you for the video…

I agree I would have loved to have seen them use Alden as well. I am looking forward to receiving the Alden longwings in Ravello cordovan for fall. Stay tuned for that, also if you are in the NY area I would encourage you to attend our trunk show next week with Ron Rider.

Steven,
Is the 9.5D spoken for yet? If not I would like to reserve that pair. Also, what is the expected price? In the $600 range?
Best,
Joe
